Still life project

Monochromatic still life, used color splash technique to make yellows and whites pop. Used brush tool to create night sky and spear.
Warm color still life, also monochromatic, used a water texture, adjusted hue and saturation as well as the color balance. I used direct light.
Cool color still life. I used diffused lighting near the top left. I adjusted the vibrance to make the blue and green pop and also adjusted the brightness to have a happier lighting because the photo was originally much darker. I also cropped this to get rid of the extra wood table under the cacti.
Nuetral color still life. I used direct light above the buddha for this still life. I did not do much editing after because I was content with how it looked already. I adjusted the brightness slightly to make it more of a skylight look and also cropped it because I wasnt super happy with how the blanket I had in the background looked.
Food still life, I used direct lighting, cropped it to get rid of the brown table cloth in the background I used the color splash technique, as well as adjusted the contrast and color balance to make the colors pop.

  1. Good work, I really like the image of the Buddha and the food. I like that you cropped in tight. I'm not 100% convinced that you understand color splash. It is where you turn the image to black and white and pop out one object in color. Please show me the example from class as well.
